30 Minutes for 30 Days - Day 1

November already!

This month I'm going to put myself thru a kind of holiday prep boot camp, because I want to be able to open my home to guests with pride during December.

My plan, such as it is, is to do 30 minutes of neatening, decluttering, and/or organizing every day for the 30 days of November.  No more than 30 minutes per day, but no less either.

Along the way, I am going to play The Minimalist Game.  Doesn't "game" sound like fun? Much funner than "declutter challenge."  Anywho, the idea is that on the first day of the game you get rid of one item--give it away, sell it, or throw it away.   On the second day you get rid of two things.  Three things on the third day.  And so forth.  A sort of declutter snowball, so to speak.

If my math is correct, by the end of the month I will have spent 15 hours of quality organizing time on my home, and I will have removed at least 465 items!!!

Today, I am going to spend 30 minutes in my kitchen.  There are a few cabinets that need magic erasering, and some plants that need to move to their winter homes.

When I post tomorrow I'll let you know which item I choose to get rid of.

Do you want to play The Minimalist Game with me?  Please comment with a link to your blog, your Pinterest board, Instagram, Facebook--whichever place you want us to go to cheer you on!   I myself am going to need some pushing as we get closer to Thanksgiving, so please come back often to provide kindly nagging.
